I'm going to not be quite so forthcoming with my dealings with K at the present time. Although I usually try to be brutally honest here, out of respect for her, I'm not really going come across with any specifics at this point.
In the most basic terms, I will tell you this: I sent her what I thought was a pretty benign e-mail today. And she did respond. And I learned things that made me feel not so good (to use my gift of massive understatement). We went back and forth a couple of times explaining some things and the main positive for me at this point is that we are still communicating. That's as much as I want to reveal right now. Re-establishing a friendly relationship with her (however small it may end up to be) is incredibly important to me for some reason. I don't want to mess it up.
