I drove to Rhode Island last night. I left New Jersey at around 8:00 PM and got into the hotel in Pawtucket, RI at around midnight. This is a trip I usually make about every three to four weeks but with my father's death and the baby's birth, it had been about two months. So I had to solve a number of small problems that had accumulated in my absence.
After work, I went our to dinner with two women I work with. One from the NJ office who had driven up that morning and one who relocated to RI when the company opened the plant there. We went to a Mexican restaurant called Sticky Fingers. It was better than average food and we all had a few drinks and a few laughs while we did the usually thing that people from work do when they dine out - complain about the company and the bosses.
I should have done the "journaller" thing and taken pictures but, alas, I did not. So that makes for a pretty boring entry.
