The Great Pumkpin Open - November 5th, 2005

Minebrook Golf Club

When the temperatures reach into the 70's on a November day in New Jersey, you know you're in for a good day. The Great Pumpkin Open was held on Saturday, November 5th at the Minebrook Golf Club in Hackettstown, NJ. This was the last of 2005's Major tournaments in the series created by Bill Sylvester. As always, Bill ran a great outing and a great time was had by all.

Fifteen golfers arrived at 8:00 AM ready to tee off. The Great Pumpkin Open is a four man scramble format with a requirement of 4 drives per golfer. If you do the math, you quickly realize that one team had only 3 golfers.

The losing team won a free round for the foursome at Minebrook. The winning team won some wooden plaques. Hmmm...
